PLTW® Project Lead The Way® is a not-for-profit organization that promotes pre-engineering courses for middle and high school students. PLTW forms partnerships with public schools, higher education institutions and the private sector to increase the quantity and quality of engineers and engineering technologists graduating from our educational system. Project Lead The Way® benefits everyone: parents, teachers, the fields of mathematics and science, and most importantly, students.
CHROME (Cooperating Hampton Roads Organizations for Minorities in Engineering) aims to increase opportunities for underrepresented minority and female students to enter science, mathematics, engineering and related technical fields. Through partnerships with colleges and universities, businesses, government and community organizations, CHROME serves 13 area school divisions in more than 100 CHROME Clubs representing nearly 3,000 students.
